My name is Shannon Ballard. This is my 10th year of teaching elementary school, my fourth at LOI, and I am so excited to be here. My first years were filled with so much happiness and I know that this year will be the same. Teaching is very important to me. There is nothing like the joy of seeing a child's face light up when they solve a problem or answer a question correctly. Children are the future and I want to do my part to make sure that they are prepared for anything the future has in store for them.
I graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 2007. Before that I received my Associate's Degree from WKCTC. I attended Graves County High School where I graduated in 2001.
I am originally from Graves County but I now live in Lone Oak. I am Married to a wonderful woman, Amanda. We have an amazing little girl, Emma Grace who turned 6 years old in August. There is no joy equal to that of being a parent. I love to read most anything. I enjoy magazines, the newspaper, but nothing can compare to a great book. My favorite types of books are filled with mystery and suspense. I also love sports. I play basketball and I will watch most sports on TV. My favorite sport would have to be football. GO PACKERS!
Contact Me - If you ever have any questions about what is going on at school, please don’t hesitate to contact me. You can call the school at 538-4160 and they will direct you to me. You can also email me at [email protected]
